Crocuses:

Crocuses are one of my favorite flowers simply because they remind me of Spring and adventure. They're never picked during the Summer, but I can't seem to wrap my head around them being grown in the Winter and Autumn too because of our wild New England weather. I'm sure it makes sense to the lucky people living in Europe, Asia, and on tropical islands who get to expeerience their natural beauty. They come in several colors ready to please anyone and everyone. So, I decided to bring a little comfort and hope for all of you stuck in a place without crocuses, just like me. Here are some lovely purple and yellow ones that make me smile everytime I see them! (:

Dreaming of Summer

Summer is a great time for bonfires, late night swims, amusement parks, time with family, and so much more, but no one can experience the joys of Summer without the warmth of Spring! Unfortunately, it feels like Spring will never come with this constant snow and wind. Summer opens up many opportunities for us, such as a new summer love or a simple, excting adventure. I absolutely adore putting up sunny pictures and adding flowers to every room because it reminds me of Summer and its charm. A favorite poem of mine is Barefoot Days by Rachel Field and it goes like this:

In the morning, very early,

That’s the time I love to go

Barefoot where the fern grows curly

And the grass is cool between each toe,

On a summer morning – O!

That is when the birds go by

Up the sunny slopes of air,

Valentines day!

   Valentine’s Day is a wonderful holiday where loved ones express their feelings for each other a little bit more than on average day. They buy flowers, candy, balloons, cards, and other gifts just to prove how special their relationship is. Of course, holidays aren’t the only days that love is shown, it’s simply emphasized more. It’s an amazing day dedicated to spending time with your special someone.

 It can also be a day for friends to get together and say “I love you and thanks for everything”! Whatever your plans are for this terrific day, make sure to have a present for someone. Instead of just buying a card to show your feelings, get something meaningful and everlasting – just like your love! There’s so much you could say on a day like that, so don’t let any gift limit you. Arizona is the 48th state and last of the contiguous states admitted to the Union, achieving statehood on February 14, 1912 - the 50th anniversary of Arizona's recognition as a territory of the Confederate States of America.[5] Arizona is noted for its desert climate, exceptionally hot summers, and mild winters, however it also features pine forests and mountain ranges in the northern high country, with cooler weather than in the lower deserts.
