Mixed Media Jewelry Techniques by Lana May & Her Friends
Seed bead designer and teacher, Lana May has gathered together an intimate group of instructors ( and I’m proud and happy to be in this group), who conduct classes at the J.O.G.S. Gems in Tucson, Arizona every February. Our tightly knit group includes multi-award winning jewelry designers in a variety of mediums such as seed beads, wire, polymer clay, beads, metals, jumprings, glass lamp working and PMC, (Precious Metal Clay). While enjoying a dinner together in 2008, someone brought up the idea that we should collaborate to write a book that would combine our various mediums into unique designs. Such a book would be published to encourage studio jewelers to begin associating with peers of different jewelry making skills, combining design ideas, and creating exciting new pieces together.
