Fairy "Fall"

Today was a beautiful day; it was warm and sunny. It was a wonderful autumn day.
My daughter and I ended up getting a little distracted...

Autumn could be so different.

But it can't be Autumn without my jewelry! (:

Fall of the leaves

In autumn when the trees are brown
little leaves come tumbling down
They do not make the slightest sound
But lie so quietly on the ground
Until the wind comes puffing by
And blows them off towards the sky.

Sunflowers Set

The days are still warm, but it definitely feels like fall is coming on fast. To add some of the summer heat, there are beautiful sunflowers growing everwhere; they're extremely bright! So, I decided to make this piece to make sunshine last all year long! (:

The color of magic: Blue

I have loved the ocean since I was a little girl. I find it very powerful and inspirational. The designs on this necklace were largely based on the ocean. It can be so different varying from its color and sound to its texture and size. When I was picking out the pieces for my necklace, the druzy greatly reminded me of the ocean. The dark sides of the druzy represent the waves and what the ocean looks like from a distance, such as a bird view. The middle reminded me of the very bright, white sand that you can see through the crystal clear water while swimming in the water. Waves are very overpowering because they never stop, no matter what season it is. They are also very beautiful, every wave unique. They are quite entertaining, as well. The right side of the necklace represents waves, especially the one standing up in the middle, which symbolizes the motion of one. I tried to turn the wires into waves, especially by wrapping silver wire around the perimeter of the wave, trying to make it look like foam. I also tried to emphasize the wave in the middle by making it stand up, as if it’s 3D. I wrapped gold wire around that wave to show a wave that is caught in the sunlight; the sun bouncing off the water as it always does at the beach on a sunny day. The left side of my necklace is made completely from beads and it was created by a very close friend of mine Lana May. It is the continuum of the waves and the ocean rolling along. Every part of this necklace represents the ocean in one way or another. The pearls surround a side of the druzy because pearls come from the ocean! The blue beads intertwined with the waves are obviously there because they are the color of the ocean. The droplets hanging from the druzy is the water splashing out from the waves, which may be quite aggressive at times. There’s not one part of the ocean that I don’t love or adore!

Blue Ear Sweeps

I made new blue ear sweeps for my daughter; blue being her favorite color. She has two holes pierced on each ear, so she can easily wear the earsweeps in her first hole. But she can also wear them in her second hole, and wear normal blue earrings, which I also made for her, in her first hole!

The color of magic: Turquoise

This is my first piece that I made using a druzy and wire wrapping in the same piece! It is made from sterling silver and gold-filled wire. I wanted to show off the whole druzy, which is why I chose to wire wrap it. The druzy comes off flirtatious because of the sparkle and shine it has, but it is elegant at the same time.
